This page serves as the official repository for the annual transparency reports of SubscribeStar, published in accordance with the requirements of the EU Digital Services Act (
DSA).
These reports provide a comprehensive overview of our efforts to maintain a safe and transparent online environment, including details on content moderation, the removal of illegal items, measures to protect user rights, and the enforcement of platform policies.
By sharing this information, we aim to uphold accountability, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and foster trust within our community.
2023
The onboarding process for content creators on SubscribeStar differs notably from similar flows on other content monetization platforms. This advanced approach leads to a significantly lower rate of accounts subject to later reviews or restrictive measures. By applying enhanced due diligence during onboarding, we effectively prevent the publication of illegal or harmful content.
Content Moderation Overview
Our moderation processes prioritize user safety and transparency, incorporating both automated tools and human review.
In 2023, we reviewed
flagged posts in compliance with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and other related policies. This included the moderation of content related to prohibited activities as listed in our Prohibited Content Policy.Illegal Items Removal
Throughout 2023, we removed 976 instances of prohibited content of both visual and textual nature, including illegal material as defined by our Prohibited Content Policy, ensuring the platform remains safe and compliant with EU regulations. This number represents 0.3% of total content published in 2023.
Enforcement of Platform Policies

To maintain a safe environment, we took enforcement actions against 1,429 accounts for policy violations, including warnings, suspensions, and bans. Related to those flagged accounts, 1,369 creator profile pages required content to be removed or modified.
User Rights Protection
We are committed to safeguarding user rights. In 2023, we processed 332 appeals from users regarding content moderation decisions, restoring 5% of content based on successful challenges.
Copyright Infringement
SubscribeStar receives copyright infringement notifications from claimants and their representatives requesting the removal of allegedly infringing content. In 2023, we received and processed 6 claims, both valid and invalid. Of these, only 2 were deemed legitimate and upheld.
Measures to Mitigate Risk
As part of our commitment to user safety, in 2023 we introduced 12 new safety measures, include machine-learning algorithms, to minimize risks of illegal content, harmful activities, and disinformation on our platform.
